Siqi Liu

Siqi is a Registered Psychologist in the Counselling Psychology scope in New Zealand, with additional registration in Australia. She takes a holistic, strengths-based, neuroaffirming, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, supporting clients to build resilience, develop insight, and move toward meaningful change in their lives. Siqi is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and culturally responsive therapeutic space, and she works collaboratively with clients to help them better understand their experiences and develop practical strategies for wellbeing.

Siqi is trained in several evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), with working knowledge of Schema Therapy and Compassion-Focused Therapy. She also has experience in psychological assessment and multidisciplinary settings, including working within the corrections system, where she provided assessment, formulation, and intervention for individuals with complex needs. Siqi enjoys working with diverse clients and tailors her approach to meet each person’s unique goals and circumstances, including supporting neurodivergent individuals in a respectful, identity-affirming way that recognises neurological differences as natural variations in human experience.
