ADHD Assessment
This ADHD assessment is for people aged 6 years old to senior adults seeking a formal diagnosis and planning on applying for funding and further support services and/or wanting personal clarification and to understand themselves better.
NOTE: We do not prescribe or provide special authority numbers for ADHD medication. This has to be done by a psychiatrist. While we can diagnose ADHD, only psychiatrists and paediatricians can prescribe ADHD medication as these are controlled substances and must receive a special authority code from a psychiatrist or Paediatric.
What to expect:
This is important to note that ADHD is a childhood disorder. Hence, there must be evidence of ADHD symptoms during childhood for a diagnosis. School reports and information from people who knew you well during childhood are helpful for establishing this.
An examination of previous medical, mental health, psychological and educational reports and a selection of psychological tests to investigate ADHD characteristics, commonly co-occurring and related conditions, and other needs.
What you will receive:
You will receive a comprehensive psychological report that thoroughly outlines our findings and interpretation of conducted tests and interviews, and may provide an ADHD diagnosis based on diagnostic criteria set by the DSM-5. This report will include a list of tailored recommendations for further information, access to support services based on the outcome of the assessment. Then Mona will have a follow-up session with you to discuss the report in detail, answer your questions and work through possible next steps.
