Adults Formal Assessment
This autism assessment is for people aged 18 years or older seeking a formal autism diagnosis and planning on applying for funding and further support services and/or wanting personal clarification and to understand themselves better.
What to expect:
Interviews with you, your significant other or a close family member, and other professionals known to you (employer, psychologist, doctor), if appropriate. An examination of previous medical, mental health, psychological and educational reports, and a selection of psychological tests to investigate autism characteristics, commonly co-occurring and related conditions, and other needs.
What you will receive:
You will receive a comprehensive psychological report that thoroughly outlines our findings and interpretation of conducted tests and interviews, and may provide an autism diagnosis based on diagnostic criteria set by the DSM-5. This report will include a list of tailored recommendations for further information, access to funding and support services based on the outcome of the assessment. Then Mona will have a follow-up session with you to discuss the report in detail, answer your questions and work through possible next steps.
NOTE: If ADHD is requested to be formally assessed alongside the Autism assessment, this will add a further fee and an additional session.
Children Formal Assessment
NOTE: For children under the age of 5 years, we recommend a multi-disciplinary assessment conducted through the public system. However, Dr Mona is trained to conduct diagnostic assessments for toddlers and children under the age of 5. We also work closely with some Paediatrics who will be consulted through the assessment journey and referred to take care of medical aspects of clients, if deemed necessary.
This is a formal autism diagnostic assessment for children and adolescents aged between 5 and 17 years, for those seeking advice, funding or support services.
What to expect:
