Children Formal Assessment
NOTE: For children under 5, a multidisciplinary assessment through the public system is often recommended. However, our team can assess younger children where appropriate and will work collaboratively with paediatric providers if medical input is required.
Comprehensive autism assessments for children and adolescents (5–17 years), with fast appointment availability and clear pathways to support, funding, and ongoing care.
Our assessments are designed to help families better understand their child’s needs, access the right supports, and confidently plan the next steps.
What to expect:
Our assessment process is thorough, supportive, and tailored to your child’s needs. It may include:
- Interviews with parents/caregivers and, where appropriate, the child or teenager
- Input from teachers or other professionals (if available)
- Review of developmental, medical, and educational history
- Standardised autism assessment tools
- Consideration of co-occurring conditions (e.g. ADHD, anxiety)
What you will receive:
- A comprehensive diagnostic report (DSM-5 aligned)
- Clear explanation of findings and diagnosis
- Practical, tailored recommendations for home, school, and daily life
- Guidance on funding and support services
- Structured aftercare and ongoing support
- Optional therapy and ongoing support planning
A follow-up session is included to go through the report, answer your questions, and guide next steps.
NOTE: If ADHD assessment is also required, this can be completed alongside the autism assessment or as part of a combined neurodevelopmental assessment.
