FAQ

Online video therapy enables us to provide high-quality treatment to you in the convenience of your home, office, or another location. Using web-based video conferencing software, your psychologist provides many of the same types of therapy that are available in-clinic, with the same personal attention and quality as face-to-face appointments.

Online video therapy has obvious benefits, like eliminating travel time, parking, and other concerns that can interfere with in-office appointments. But some patients find they prefer video therapy, and feel it’s more effective because they find it easier to open up about their feelings when they can do so in a private, comfortable space such as their own home.

Several studies comparing online therapy with in-person therapy show it to be equally effective for certain types of treatment, such as cognitive behavioural therapy. Research also indicates that several mental health conditions can be successfully treated with online video therapy.

Dr. Mona Ghanbari has experience using online video therapy to address several mental health conditions, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Eating disorders
  • Trauma
  • Stress
  • Relationship issues
  • ASD
  • ADHD

Online video therapy is also useful for assessment sessions.

Your online therapy sessions are between 50 to 60 minutes.
